Privacy policy

Eraly.org is free to play without an account. This page explains the data used by this edition. For questions or requests, email contact@eraly.org.

Your browser saves

Your current journey, daily results, Wardrobe items, outfits, sound and music settings, Infinite question history and analytics choice are saved in your browser's local storage. Refreshing keeps them; clearing site data removes them. Saves belong to this browser and website address and do not automatically transfer between devices or domains.

Scores and feedback

Completing a daily game sends its puzzle number, total score and a random submission identifier. The identifier prevents a retry from counting the same score twice. We use aggregated score totals for the results chart. Individual submission records are removed after 90 days; aggregated totals remain.

If you send an idea or rating, we store the text or rating, the puzzle number, game mode and submission time so we can review feedback and improve the game. You can contact us to request removal of a message. Please do not include private information. To limit automated requests, the server briefly stores a daily hash derived from the network address and request type with a request count. It does not store the raw address in the game database; these counters expire and are removed by a daily cleanup.

Infinite journeys

When you start an Infinite journey, your browser sends the identifiers of questions you have already played. The server uses them to choose the next seven moments and does not save this history in the database.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 only after you choose Allow analytics. Before that choice, or if you decline, the site does not load the Google Analytics tag. Playing the game does not require analytics.

When allowed, Google Analytics receives page visits, browser and device information, approximate location and engagement information. It uses cookies to recognise repeat visits. We do not send your guesses, feedback text, email address or browser saves to Analytics. Google processes this information under its privacy policy.

Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent disables further analytics measurement and removes accessible Analytics cookies for this site. It cannot recall requests already sent.

Hosting and fonts

Cloudflare provides hosting, DNS, HTTPS and the game database. Its network may process technical data, including network addresses, to deliver and protect the service under its privacy policy. Game fonts, artwork and generated audio are served or created by this site, without an external image, audio or font service.

Contact and requests

Email contact@eraly.org about privacy or a feedback record you sent. We do not have an account or email identifier for ordinary game sessions, so we may need the message wording and approximate time to locate a record.
